The Madeleine Top in Hebridean Cloud

Each piece is made using handloomed 100% pure Harris Tweed® wool which is woven in the home of the loomer in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Pieces are crafted on a preorder model. Preorders will ship out approximately mid-end November.  

The Madeleine Top in Hebridean Cloud is crafted from handloomed Harris tweed. Harris tweed is 100% British heritage wool, made exclusively in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Still woven by hand, on a traditional treadle loom using generations-old indigenous crafts passed down through Hebridean islander communities since 1840. Each length of Harris Tweed wool is lovingly created in the homes of indigenous Hebridean islanders. 

Harris Tweed has a unique history and provenance. It is the only fabric in the world protected by an Act of Parliament (the Harris Tweed Act 1993). The famous Orb mark is the final mark of authentication, only applied once the Harris Tweed Authority have inspected each metre of fabric.

The Madeleine top features a corset back which allows for adjustability. Pintucks and a romantic neckline add intricacy to this piece. The colors of the tartan wool in Hebridean cloud were inspired by the colours of the Scottish seascape in shades of silver stone grey, sea blue, moss green, sand cream, and earthen brown. 

Outer: 100% pure Harris Tweed wool

Outer grey panels: 97% cotton, 3% spandex. 

Lining: 100% cotton
